In the room at Austria!

0.50euro must be used to go toilet!! The most expensive toilet I have ever used! But the toilet bowl is very special, its seating auto wash itself. So it was extremely clean! The 0.50euro ticket can be used to purchase stuff in shop, so in the end the toilet is free with a purchase of Mars chocolate!

Night of Germany!

Today's breakfast is very filling. I have had bread, cereal, cake and juice. Also, we were told to do our packed lunch. It was another long hours of ride. We are leaving Austria to picturesque Rhine Valley, Germany. Before reaching our accommodation, we visit a traditional cuckoo clock shop and the Beer stein centre. The cuckoo clock there are all very unique! Super nice and super expensive too. -.- Hai. The beer stein centre has a intolerable smell that made me feel very uncomfortable. Out of the centre, we head to bikenstock shop. Kristie and I bought a pair each. Our accommodation is at a Fortress. From the accommodation, we were able to see the nice scenery. We had a good dinner over there.

It's time again to pack up and go. After breakfast, we are leaving hot Italy and travelling down to the beautiful Tyrol Region of Austria. The weather was cool over there. ^^ At Austria, if weather allows, everyone is able to try the white water rafting in the refreshing waters of the Alps. Some also went to try the sky diving. All these activities are too costly for us. So, we spent our time walking around the street of Austria! We bought coffee here as it is a place famous for its coffee. Also, the chocolates here are very cheap! We bought quite a lot. haha. The accommodation here was good. We had BBQ food today.

On a bridge! On the Gondola ride

It was another scorching hot day! After breakfast, we set off on the coach to Venice! Venice is practically a no car zone, being built on the water. Our coach bus can only reach the car/bus terminal via the bridge (Ponte della Liberta) (SR11). We then took water bus ( a form of metro station) that travel along the Grand Canal to Venice. We are given plenty of time to explore the sights of St Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, St Mark's Basilica and the bridge of Sighs. We have a walking tour with the local Italian guide. It is really amazing that the mode of transport in such a big place - Venice is by boat. The narrow passageways to shops, small bridges almost everywhere linking places to places and lots of gondolas on water. When we reached St Mark's Square, we are surprised that the square is filled with pigeons! Pigeons in Venice are highly respected in Venice. Some Venetians claim that pigeons outnumber the tourists. lol. We then have our gondola ride. It was not at all relaxing sitting in the gondola as the weather was hot. I wasn't feeling good either because i have seasickness. -.- I think I won't be a suitable person to stay in such water-located city. lol. Anyway, gondola ride was a waste of money. It lasted only half an hour and the whole ride is just turning round and round places in Venice. -.- After the gondola ride, we rushed to see an interesting demonstration of the traditional Venetian craftsmanship that is lace making. The laces in the shop are very nice!! The price too is also nice till it is not affordable for us. lol. After that, we went to purchase postcard and post them back to Singapore. We wandered around to pass time and then took the water bus back to the car/bus terminal. We then took the bus back to Camping Alba D'oro.
