Wand!

At Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum The condition of Central Hostel!-.-

We packed our backpack once again and had our breakfast. This morning, we realised that the bread that they provide for breakfast have already turned mouldy! Omg! Does that mean that the last 2 day's breadfast of the bread we have ate have already expired too?!? We didn't dare to think too much. In the end, we ate cereal and then took a metro to Stamford Brook. We placed our backpack at the lobby of Globetrotter Inn, Ashlar Court and set off to our planned schedule. We set off to Wimbledon. To where??? haha. Of course, it was the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum. The entrance fee was ₤11.50. It's a pity that we were not able to get into the real tennis court. -.- Anyway, it was a great experience. After that, we went back to bond street for some shopping. There was not much sale on-going. We then ended up in Hamleys Toys. The entire building was meant for toys. It was amazing! I was super excited. Especially in the level where there were a lot of Harry Potter's item! Wands, house's Badges...etc.! How I wish I have the money to buy them all!!! hai~ Also, there are barbie dolls there! Playing Barbie dolls have been my childhood! lol. We then went to Nortingate to check out where was Bowen Court located. It was not as far as compared. As soon as the day turned dark, we returned back to the inn.

Near Buckingham Palace.

We woke up early and set off on time. We had a filling breakfast and then went off to Nortingate to catch up with the Portobello market. It was a super long stretch of street that sell a wide variety of stuffs! We bought bananas along one of the street. After that, we took a metro to West Minister, so that it is nearer for us to walk to Buckingham Palace. We waited for the guard changing at 11a.m. It was a very grand ceremony! It was really amazing that these guards need to do guard changing everyday! The crowd got bigger when the ceremony was about to start. I squeezed all the way in, so that I could video the whole guard changing ceremony. It's superb cool! We met JingWei, Amy, Joanne, Eric, Dennis, KaYee and chiew ching at Buckingham palace. What a coincidence! We then had Subway as lunch at Victoria Street. The meal costs about the same as in Singapore. After lunch, we bid goodbye to them all and we continued with our plan to shop at bond street. To our disappointment, there was not much items for us to buy. The shop there was too far high end such as Louis Vulton, etc. Too expensive to buy anything now. hai~ After that, we took a metro down to Covent Garden station. We went to search for the ₤1 pie shop. However, we were not able to locate it, instead we had West Cornwall Pastry. After that, we took a walk to Trafalgar Square. It was a long walk than we have expected. -.- We took photos on and off during the walk. There was really a lot to see as mentioned by Annie. We passed by a lot of musical theatre. It was pretty cool! We then proceeded to china town as it was still early. The items there although most item looks asian. But all of them are expensive to buy. lol. -.- After that, we took a stroll to Harrods. But it has already closed. The outview was not nice too as the whole building was undergoing renovation. We then went back to our hostel. To our relief, the brazilian women have already gone. There was 2 new occupants. Both went to sleep quite early. In the end, we were the one making lots of noise. We all fell asleep very fast as it has been a long day of walking.

At London, we were waiting for the Ezbus!
We are inside the air plane of ryan airway!
We woke up early in the morning to catch the early tram at 5.36 a.m., so that we can reach the train station to take a direct bus to Frankfurt Harn Airport. According to Kristie, the tram at Germany is always punctual. When we got down from our room to the reception table, to our amazement, the door of the hotel room was LOCKED! We had a shock of our life! OMG! We tried all sort of methods to open the door. To our relief, the door opened using one of the key that was attached to the room key. We left the hotel as fast as we could with our big backpacks. It was super tiring! But at least, we managed to catch the 5.36a.m. tram on time. We reached HTF, we had our postcard posted and bought pizzabread each. We then headed towards the shuttle bus. It cost 12 euros for the transport. Anyway, we were early when we reached the Frankfurt airport. We went to the toilet and drew some cash. We then got our backpack weighed! All 4 of our backpack exceeded the limit! OMG! We have no choice but to throw away some stuff. I threw away some worksheets. At last, our backpacks were checked in. We waited for our turn to go throughthe custom. It was a thorough checked through. Because my toy gun and knife were taken out and were asked around whether to let me have it or not. I looked rather flustered at that moment! Phew, luck was on my side, all the stuff were let through. Merci Beaucoup!=) We then went to queue up for our air plane. It was quite amusing on board because the demo of emergency guidelines were given on the spot by the air steward and stewardness. It was completely different from Qatar airway. That might be the different between budget airlines and normal airlines. The taking off and land was super rough! I had the second shock when the plane was trying to land. All of us had a hard hit on our butt!!! -.- The hit on our butt signalled that we have reached United Kingdom - London at 10.55a.m(UK time)! ^^ We took the EZbus that we have booked online to Victoria station. We reached there at about 2p.m. due to the conjestion of the road as there was an ongoing transportation strike. We have made a wrong move to stop at victoria street, we should have stopped at baker street instead. Anyway, we took almost an hour to decide whether to phone the hostel for its bus service. We tried, but the 50 pences got eaten up by the phonebooth. In the end, we took a metro to Bayswater station. The metro at london was the third shock I had in one day! It was different from the metro at Paris and in Singapore!. There would be sudden blackout and sudden sparkles! I have never experienced that before, it was quite shocking for me. It have made my heart skipped a beat when I first experienced it. Then, it was another hard job again locating the hostel. We spent another half an hour to reach the place. I had another shock. The place was -.-. Condition of the room was quite bad! Due to it was a shared toilet hostel, a basin for washing hand was attached in the room we stayed itself. Inside the room, there were also 3 double decker beds. We put down our backpack and off we went out on the street of LONDON! ^^ We had KFC - Wicked Zinger Meal for our Lunch cum Dinner. It was indeed wicked as we all felt bloated after eating it. It consisted of a zinger burger, fries, 1 mini wing and drumlet, coslaw and drink. We all felt satisfied. We then proceeded on with our plan. we went King Cross station first to visit the scene of platform 9 and 3 quarter of Harry Potter. It was unbelieveable that they really to out effort to make a trolley there so that it has became a tourist attraction. We proceeded on to Big Ben. We thought it was going to be other long finding. To my surprise, the first sight seen when we came out from the underground was London Eye! We took pictures. We didn't went up the London eye though, we were a little tight on cash. Making a 180 degree body turn, we saw Big Ben. It was a magnificent view! It was opposite the street, standing impressively. There was a sudden surge of WOW feeling inside me. ^^ What a sight! We continued walking forward and cross a bridge. We bought a snack that we thought it was chocolate cookies, it turns out to be sweet nuts. We continued walking on until we reached St Paul Cathedral. It wasn't as impressive as the cathedral in France. We then crossed over to the Millienum bridge. We had our jump shots there. Thanks for the man that helped us to take the shot, though it wasn't very successful. lol. After that, we proceeded on to London Bridge and Tower bridge. The view of them both in daylight was not very nice. So, we decided to wait for the night to fall. It was actually quite a crazy thing to do! Because it was very cold! The cold wind was blowing in all direction. The coldness will go straight into our bones. There was no comfort at all. We tried all places to get ourselves away from the cold air, but we failed! lol. In the end, we kept to ourselves closely eating Marie's biscuits that Janet have bought. Finally, the sky was dark enough. And it was about 10 p.m.(london time). We took a lot of photos there. After that, we went back to the hostel. To our surprise, there were 4 very nosiy brazilian women staying inside the room. They were eating inside the room. The stench coming from their finished food was unbearable. We felt regreted not to book a hostel for 4 people, instead we booked a shared 6 beded room. OMG!!! They have not stopped chit -chating even we had all taken our bath. -.- One of them even requested to bunk into our room cos hers was in another room away from her 2 friends who were in our room. I have no choice but to agree. I waited for them to get on the bed. It was almost 2 a.m. before I got on bed and sleep.
